Rescue Tape,

I am an owner/operator, I drive a Freightliner Century. On a trip to Nashville, TN I broke down with an air leak, I wrapped the air line with my Rescue Tape, and made it back home to Middlefield, Ohio for repairs. My air pressure in the lines was 120 PSI .I was sure glad to have your Rescue Tape with me.  I would highly recommend your tape to all drivers.

Thanks,

We received a call from our surgical processing area telling us there was water pouring from the ceiling and things were being contaminated.  When we arrived at the location we found a one inch hot water line.  We worked feverishly to find the valve to shut that line down but nothing worked. Then I remembered I hade purchased some Rescue Tape at the Portland boat show last year and thought this would be a good test. Three wraps over the split and the leak was fixed. 15 more minutes and $250,000 worth of equipment and product would have been destroyed.  We decided right then to order more.  Thanks for a great product.

Rescue Tape,

I have dump trucks, and another driver that I worked with was broken down on the side of the road. He had run his truck until it had quit running. I stopped and found that the driveline had rubbed the fuel line almost in two. It looked like it was going to need a new line or wrecker before he could move. I remembered that I had a roll of Rescue Tape. I wiped what fuel and dirt I could from the line and started taping, not sure if it would start or even get him to the shop 30 miles away. We got it running, thinking he was going straight to the shop. No, he worked the rest of the day and didn't miss a load!!

Thank you!

SALVAGE OF THE LOFOTEN SPIRIT

I received a call from Sinbad asking me to meet him at the shop. He said there was a 58' Sunship aground in the Swinomish channel south end. I met him and Lisa at the shop and we got in Assist Patrol and hurried to the scene. When we arrived we found the vessel aground on the rip rap next to channel marker "15". We tied up alongside the vessel and Sinbad and I did an interior hull inspection. We found the starboard transmission ripped in half and the shaft and coupler pulled back into the shaft log destroying the ceramic packing and the front few inches of the shaft log. The engine room was partially flooded and water was still coming in around shaft. There were no other signs of water intrusion anywhere else. The tide was dropping so we decided to make a plan for repairs and talked to the crew of the vessel about the salvage agreement we needed to have signed. The owner of the vessel was not present but his representative was on the phone with him repeatedly explaining the situation and getting his permission to sign the contract and have us help them save their vessel. The owner agreed and his representative signed the contract. Meanwhile Sinbad and I made plans as to repairs and removal of the vessel from the rocks. Lisa took pictures of everything she could. I stayed behind to try to seal up the shaft log while Sinbad and Lisa returned to Cornet Bay for Able and some more materials for the repair. Before they left we staged both an electrical and gas pump aboard the vessel. I started by pumping the water out of the engine room and wiping up the oil around the shaft log. Then I removed as much of the broken ceramic packing and fiberglass from around the shaft as I could. Then I mixed up most of a can of splash zone 2 part epoxy and filled the shaft log around the shaft and up over the coupler with it. As the tide came up the water pressure in the shaft log started to push the epoxy out because it hadn't had time to cure yet. I fashioned a piece of plastic to fit around it and hose clamped it in place. Then I wrapped it many times with rescue tape. By this time Sinbad had returned with the rest of the patching supplies and Able. Sinbad nosed Able up to the vessel and Lisa was able to pass the supplies to me from the bow of Able. I then took a piece of heavy rubber mat and wrapped the whole patch, shaft log, and coupler with it and hose clamped it in place. I then wrapped all of that repeatedly with safety wire and safety wired the shaft and coupler in place so they couldn't move or turn. At this point it quit taking on water. Again I pumped the engine room out. At high tide approx 2:00 a.m. Sinbad nosed Able up to the bow of the vessel and we hooked towline up to windlass and after a couple of tries it came free of the rocks. The shaft did move slightly but the patch held. The vessel was taking on water through the patch but it was minimal. We rigged in a side tow and I did another bilge inspection all seemed good so we continued on into Latitude Marine where their crew was standing by to haul vessel. Vessel was hauled more pictures taken and salvage redelivery signed by owners representative. Then Sinbad, Lisa, and I returned to base in Able approx 5:30 a.m.
To the best of my knowledge.

Rescue Tape is a lifesaver!!!  I just purchased a "previously enjoyed" boat and was in the process of going through the Spring Commissioning ritual when I ran into a big problem. Evidently the previous owner forgot to completely winterize the freshwater system - they forgot the line to the ice maker in the refrigerator in the galley.  I filled the tank with fresh water conditioner and water, pressurized the system and proceeded to flush the tank.  My wife heard a "hissing" sound behind the refrigerator and I told her it was probably just the water filling the ice maker.  She said that it didn't sound right because it had been making that noise for the last five minutes.  I pulled the refrigerator out from the custom enclosure and sure enough the copper fresh water supply tube had a 1" split in it and water was spraying all over the bulkhead and deck.  About a month earlier while at the Baltimore Boat Show I was impressed with the demonstration of Rescue Tape and bought several rolls - just because I thought it was pretty novel.  I yelled to my wife to get the Rescue Tape out of my tool box (still in the package - so it was easy for her to identify).  I remembered how the salesman demonstrated how to wrap the tape and to my shock and pleasure - the leak immediately stopped.  Although I won't use this as a permanent fix - it certainly provided me with the luxury of time to determine how and when I could fix it permanently.  It saved me considerable clean up time since only about 2 gallons of water escaped and soaked the carpet.  Without Rescue Tape - I shudder to think how much damage I would have experienced. A roll of Rescue Tape is now located in almost every room of the boat and on the bridge and in the engine rooms.

I just wanted you to know about this real-life story regarding your great product!!  This is the kind of product that you're not sure if you'd ever need it - but you're glad you have it -- just in case!

Rescue Tape,

I purchased several rolls of Rescue Tape at the 2005 Long Beach Calendar Show; gave two rolls away as gifts and placed the remaining roll in my Harley saddle bag to complement my tool kit. Fast forward two years; while traveling through Death Valley National Park in November 2007; I was summoned home during the Southern California wildfires to rescue my pets and collect any irreplaceable personal items. My home was in the path of a wildfire whipped by the Santa Ana winds and my neighborhood had been evacuated by local law enforcement.
During my ride home; the wildfires had jumped Interstate 15 south of Cajon Pass blocking all lanes of traffic. A colleague and I stuck on the freeway for several hours at Cajon Pass; Santa Ana winds howled at gusts reported to be over 80 miles per hour. The windshield on my Road King was caught by the continuous gusts and separated from its quick release mount. I caught the windshield with one hand while keeping the motorcycle upright. I remembered the roll of Rescue Tape in my saddlebag and while balancing/holding I was able to take the tape and apply a few wraps around the handlebars and secure the windshield. Rescue Tape held the windshield for the remainder of the ride home without incident and left me with one less thing to worry about and stay focused dodging winds, flames, and traffic.
I arrived back in San Diego to find the firefighters were able to save my home and belongings. The Rescue Tape was removed from the bike some several days later which had left no marks, scratches or sticky residue on the windshield and handlebars.
Rescue Tape worked as advertised and now has a customer for life; I will keep a roll with me wherever I ride.

Sincerely,
David M.

Thank you so much for the Rescue Tape. We were able to get us out of a bind with our Jimmy Jib tilt motor. I was able to replace a broken o ring with Rescue Tape and it got us though to the end of the show!
I will recommend Rescue Tape to all of my friends from now on.
Thanks again!

Rescue Tape,

I attended the Farm Progress Show held in Decatur, Illinois, August 2007.

While touring the various booths, I came across the Rescue Tape booths, listened to you tell about the product.  I thought “this sounds like a great product that I could use in the future.”  While on the way home from the Farm Progress Show, my radiator hose on my car started spurting.  I was able to use your product to stop the leak and drove home.  Your tape is still on the radiator hose.  It fixed my problem and saved me the expense of a new radiator hose.  IT WORKED JUST LIKE YOU SAID IT WOULD.  I'm sure glad I came across your booth at the show.  It's a superb product.

If your other products are this good, your company, Harbor Products, will be around for a long time.

Sincerely,
Jerald M.

We used the tape to seal a hose that was leaking water into our boat ~ 300 miles offshore. Worked like a charm! We call it the magic tape.

Thanks!

I purchased a 3-roll pack of Rescue Tape at an RV rally/show in Quartzsite, AZ a year ago.  Since then I have used it many times to repair problems that would have left me in a lurch had it not been for the quality of the Rescue Tape.
I have repaired hoses, insulated wires and used it in place of heat shrink tubing; I have attached reels to fishing rods, repaired 50-amp RV electrical connections, sealed rope ends and sealed copper tubing as emergency repairs.  I purchased additional tape at the Quartzsite same rally last week.... I don't want to run out!

What did I do without (or before) Rescue Tape? I can't imagine.

This is one great product!

Rescue Tape,

Thanks, I really find your product useful.
Last September I purchased at Bristol 47.7 in Ft. Lauderdale and sailed it back to our home in Norfolk VA.  I made a special trip to the marine store to purchase a roll of your tape for the trip.  Enroute we blew a hose in the middle of a channel in North Carolina. My first thought was get the tape. So, before I opened the engine room door it was in my pocket. While it wasn't necessary to fix the problem, loose clap, I knew I was not going to be without a quick fix. Great stuff!

I bought some of the Rescue Tape at the Outdoor show last fall thinking it would be good if it works on my motor home or jeep in case of an emergency. I had not had a chance to use it until the other day. I was pressure washing my deck and the pressure hose split. I thought to myself let’s see if this tape is really any good. I dried the hose the best I could and taped it up. I went back to work and it really held at 1300 psi. So I guess that Rescue Tape is REALLY GOOD.

Thanks for a product that is GREAT!

I bought my first 2 rolls of Rescue Tape to be used on my RV and my deep sea polls. I wrapped the forward handles on my rods and covered the foam used to build up the grip with the black tape. I was amazed at how far it could be pulled and how tightly it wound on. It did a great job, now I have a secure comfortable grip when I do battle with monster fish in the North Atlantic. I used the roll of white tape at our RV park to seal small leaks in plumbing and to bundle wiring.  My neighbors saw what I was doing and he and 2 other friends helped me use up the rest of the roll. A friend at work blew a radiator hose and we fixed it with what black tape I had left over. It sealed the hose so well he drove around for days with just the tape holding the hose together, he later bought the new hose and repaired the problem, however he kept the old one as a spare just in case.

Great product guys, maybe I can get the charter boat I use to stock some for use as a band-aid for cuts and nicks, electrical tape just doesn’t do it, looking forward to getting my next order.

Thanks for a great product!
